Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child in a family of four. Her parents, who were a dentist and teacher in a school helped and encouraged her passion for acting and theater. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to study theater and drama. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and enjoyed enormous success. When she finished her education and acting, she appeared on the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her professional career as an actor. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and studied there at an early age, has disavowed her Catholic upbringing. Now, she declares herself to be non-Catholic. She pursued a modelling career along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. Also, she has an intense interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work during the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on the spotlight and celebrities and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her after her meteoric rise in fame and fortune as Amelie and several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first major role starring in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a box-office international film that received acclaim at awards galas around all over the world. It is currently the top grossing French film of the French language across the US. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, ranging from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
